"War is not Good for Children,
                                                               or other Living Things..."

Growing up in the 1960's, in the height of the Vietnam War, this saying could be seen on posters,
t-shirts and patches covering faded, raggedy jeans. The Vietnam War was a war not like any other war
that Americans had fought. Some never even called it a war, they called it a conflict. Whatever they called
it, it was
WAR! The weapons of war, the jungles of the war, the warfare may not have been the same as
World War I, the great war, or World War II, the war that would end all wars, but the toll was the same as
every war in the history of man... the toll of human life! Veterans of all wars have made the same sacrifice,
the ultimate sacrifice, for our freedom!
Our new feature exhibit for Spring will be entitled, "Hometown Boys Go to Wars!"   The display will focus
on the reasons we honor all Veterans, for we owe them a huge debt of gratitude.
We salute all Veterans of all Wars, for their selfless acts. Those who returned and those who went on to
greater glory. When you see a Veteran or any of our Military, shake their hand and say "Thanks." We owe
them our lives and our way of life. Veterans, We Salute You!!!
